In September, the International Security Sector Advisory Team (DCAF/ISSAT) in Switzerland and Swedepeace in Sweden (Swiss Justice and Security Sector Reform Team) executed their second mission to Honduras, one of the most violent countries in the world with more than 80 homicides per 100 000 inhabitants. The purpose of the mission was to backstop Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC) in their efforts on human security and violence reduction in Honduras. During the mission, support was give to increase capacity on strategic planning, programming and global best practice on justice and security sector reform (JSSR). Tools such as “scenario planing” and “Do No Harm” were used with SDC and their partners: Inter-American Developmen Bank, la Alianza por Paz y Justicia and the Security Ministry of the Government of Honduran.
